The Forms printing window provides a quick and easy way to print one or more forms when you don't want to use any of the pre-defined selections (destinations) in the Forms manager. It is intended for printing single forms, as well as printing customized selections of forms. Generally, if you plan on printing the same set of forms on a regular basis, you may find it more convenient to configure them once in the Forms manager, and then use Production printing to print them. Accomplishing this same task using Forms printing would require reselecting the forms each time before printing. Forms can be printed in three different ways:
Printer tab Use this tab to send forms directly to your printer. By default, it will open with your DT Max default printer pre-selected. DT FileCabinet tab If you have DT FileCabinet installed with an up-to-date licence, you can send forms to it using this tab. There are two principal DT FileCabinet choices available when using Forms Printing:
PDF tab Use this tab when you need to send forms to a PDF file. In addition to being able to save the file to your computer, it is also possible to email the file, or to send it to Onvio (only for licenced Onvio users). See Export or email tax return pages for more information. Select Pages This section contains a number of commonly used pre-defined selections of forms. It is possible to combine these selections by clicking multiple buttons. If you make a mistake, simply press the Clear all button and start again. How to open the Forms printing windowThe Forms printing window can be accessed either through the menu or an icon found on the Tax Return screen. Each tab can be directly opened as follows:
Once opened, it is easy to switch to another tab, should you decide to print a different way. April 10, 2020 |
